Police have seized explosive materials and weapons from the farmhouse of Meghalaya BJP Vice President Bernard N Marak, who was arrested on charges of running a sex racket. It also includes 35 gelatin sticks and 100 detonators. The police took this action at Marak’s farmhouse in Tura.
Police raided the place on July 22 on the basis of the information that the police got the information that a sex racket was going on from Marak’s farmhouse in Tura. At this time 73 people were detained. 6 minors were also included in this.
After the police took all the minors for medical examination, it became clear that they had been sexually assaulted. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against Bernard N Marak under the Explosive Substances Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. He has also been arrested. Marak has previously been booked under the IPC and a total of 25 offenses under the Smuggling (Prevention) Act, 1956.
