New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s collection of poems in Gujarati will be available in English in the month of August. Written over many years and titled ‘Aankh Aa Dhanya Che’, this collection of Gujarati poetry was first published in 2007. It has been translated into English by film journalist and historian Bhavna Saumya.
Bhavna Saumya said that these poems depict progress, frustration, trials, perseverance and compassion. Modi’s poetry reflects simplicity and mystery. His poetry mentions the ambiguity and tries to resolve it. His writing style alone proves his uniqueness. They have emotionality, thoughtfulness, energy and optimism. Since the expression is clean, it is effective.
