Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has given a big blow to the party. Ghulam Nabi Azad has resigned hours after the party appointed him as the head of the Jammu and Kashmir campaign committee. According to a report by India Today citing sources, Ghulam Nabi Azad has refused to accept the new responsibility due to health reasons. Meanwhile, there is talk that Ghulam Nabi Azad, who has been unhappy with the party for some time, is preparing to revolt against the party.
On Tuesday, the Congress party had formed a campaign committee. 11 leaders were included in this. The President and Working President of the State Congress Committee are the permanent members of this committee. Tariq Hameed Kara was appointed as the vice-chairman of the campaign committee and GM Saruri as the convenor.
According to sources, Ghulam Nabi Azad is already a member of the party’s All India Political Affairs Committee and is objecting to it. Ghulam Nabi is a veteran leader of Azad Party and is also a former Chief Minister. He has worked as a Union Minister and has held many important positions in the party. He was among the 23 leaders who wrote to party president Sonia Gandhi seeking organizational changes in the party.
