The Manchester-based club are willing to spend a transfer fee of close to €60 million to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford. They have reportedly offered a four-year contract to Casemiro, with an option to extend it for a further season.

The Red Devils have enjoyed a decent transfer window under the leadership of new manager Erik ten Hag. Casemiro will become the Manchester outfit’s fourth signing of the current transfer window after Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez. They are expected to bring in more fresh faces to their squad before the transfer deadline.

Speaking to the media, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Casemiro’s departure from the club.

He said: “Casemiro will not play on Saturday. Replacement? We have signed Tchouaméni and he’s one of the best on the market. Then we have Kroos and Camavinga. Yesterday I realised it was a real thing [Casemiro to Man Utd]. My plans won’t change”.

Casemiro joined the Blancos from Sao Paolo in 2013. He has played a key role in the Blancos’ success in recent years, helping them win 18 major trophies since joining.

However, Carlo Ancelotti may not be looking to sign his replacement this transfer window as he already have a plethora of midfield options in his squad.

They will look to register their first Premier League victory of the season when they lock horns against arch-rivals Liverpool on August 23.
