Cam Judge’s 71-yard interception return to score late in the fourth quarter sealed a 29-2 win for the Calgary Stampeders over the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday.
Running back to Calgary, Ka’Deem Carey covered a total of 92 yards on 14 carries with a last-minute touchdown. He leads the CFL in rushing yards this season with 949s.
Reggie Begelton and Tommy Stevens also scored touchdowns for the Stampeders, which halted Toronto’s four consecutive wins.
Calgary’s Malik Henry’s 69 receiving yards gave him more than 1,000 this season.
Argonauts starter McLeod Bethel-Thompson was dismissed for 19 for 38 from 194 yards. Each quarterback made two interceptions in the game.

Both teams are jockeying for a place in the playoffs
Both football clubs had playoff places in their respective divisions before Saturday’s game, but the result was still important to their playoff pictures.
With three games remaining in their regular season, the Stampeders (10-5) are looking to tie the knot with the BC Lions (10-4) in a race for second place to the west, and the prospect of hosting the division semi-finals on Nov. have a chance. 6. 6.
However, BC won the season 2–1, and would be seeded higher in the event of a tie with Calgary.
Toronto has been assured of a home playoff game. Argos want it to be the East Finals on 13 November after the playoff by week which is a team reward for finishing first in a division.
The Stampeders improved this season to 4–3 at home and 5–0 against East Division clubs. Argos fell 2-4 against West.

No scoring in the first or third quarter of the defensive fight, Calgary converted Judge and Jamir Thurman interceptions into touchdowns, while Toronto scored no points from a pair of Henoch Mumba in the game.
Chad Kelly had only four minutes left for Bethel-Thompson after the judge’s touchdown. Carey scored a three-yard rushing touchdown in the final minute and René Paredes added a 97-yard kickoff single point.

The judge picked up Bethel-Thompson and ran the ball for a 71-yard pick six. The linebacker returned to Calgary’s lineup after serving a one-game suspension for punching Lions receiver Lucky Whitehead.
Stevens, Calgary’s third-string quarterback, ended an eight-play, 70-yard drive with a one-yard plunge, which the Parades converted for a 14-2 lead at halftime.
Toronto settled for one point and trailed by five points when Boris Bede hit a wide right kick in the middle of the second quarter on a 46-yard field-goal effort.
John Haggerty kicked a 71-yard punt single for Toronto in the first minute of the second quarter.
Argos lost lead tackler Wynton McManis (knee) and defensive lineman Shane Ray (arm) in the first quarter. Stampeder left tackle Joshua Coker, filling in for injured Derek Dennis, was also injured in the first half and did not return to the game.
Stampede defensive end Sean Lemon’s career 90th sack propelled him to 15th place in the CFL.
The Argonauts are at the Lions House on Saturday. The Stampeders will have a weekend, followed by a match against the hosts Hamilton Tiger-Cats on October 14.
